The Churrasco (Portuguese
for barbeque) is born from the Gauchos (Brazilian cowboys)
of the 1700’s, who would skewer the finest meats and poultry and cook
them with just a few simple seasonings over an open-flame. Over time the Churrasco
evolved into the Churrascaria – a modern celebration
of food where Gauchos serve by parading these succulent cuts
and slicing them fresh and hot in a service style called Rodizio.
Ipanema Brazilian Steak House is a Churrascaria in the finest sense of the word. Our eleven authentic cuts and presentations of meat are seasoned with salt and roasted rotisserie-style over mineral coals imported from Brazil, basted continuously by their own natural juices. Manage your Rodizio by displaying the green/red disk at the end of your table to advise the Gauchos of your current preference: Green signals to the Gauchos that you are ready for new mouth-watering cuts. Red indicates that you are resting or full.
